Beauty Advent Calendars 2026: Which Ones Are Actually Worth Buying?

Beauty advent calendars are already on sale, even though December is weeks away. Shopping early can give you more choice, but an attractive countdown box is only good value if its contents suit the person opening it.

This is a comparison of published U.S. listings, not a hands-on unboxing. Prices below were checked October 10, 2026 and can change. The October Prime sale has ended; none of these recommendations depends on an expired promotion.

The lower-cost option: JoyBright 12 Days of Self-Care

Ulta lists JoyBright 12 Days of Self-Care at $22. Its contents mix scented bath and body products with accessories including hair clips, a shower cap, and a scrunchie. That makes it a reasonable candidate for someone who enjoys a playful bath gift.

Its drawback is equally clear: several doors contain accessories rather than skincare, and the scented products may be unwanted by someone who avoids fragrance. Check whether the recipient actually takes baths. A bath bomb has little practical value in a shower-only household.

The K-beauty sampler: Anua 7-Days of Glass Skin

The Anua calendar is listed at $34. It includes small-format cleansing, toner, serum, moisturizing, and lip products. This is a more focused choice for an adult who specifically wants to sample Anua.

There is a listing detail worth resolving before ordering: the product name promises seven days, but the retailer's written contents list currently identifies six products. Confirm the complete contents using the packaging or retailer support rather than assuming which seventh item is included.

Several unfamiliar formulas also mean several opportunities for irritation. Opening one door each day is a gift format, not an instruction to introduce a new skincare product daily. Space out new additions and keep familiar basics available.

The bigger splurge: Ulta Beauty Finds 25 Days of Beauty

Ulta's multi-brand calendar is listed at $150 with a retailer-stated $440 value. It includes full-size makeup alongside smaller beauty products, fragrance, and wellness items. It suits someone who enjoys variety across categories more than someone seeking a simple moisturizer routine.

Do not count unfamiliar supplements or unwanted shades as savings. The stated value is the seller's calculation, not $440 you would necessarily have spent. For a recipient with narrow preferences, several requested full-size products can be a better gift.

A quick value check before checkout

List the products you would have bought separately and compare their actual quantities with current individual prices. Assign unwanted extras no value. Add shipping, then compare that useful-content total with the checkout price. Packaging and surprise can have enjoyment value; they do not need to masquerade as financial savings.

Ulta recommends buying calendars in early to mid-fall. That supports looking now, but it does not establish that any specific box is about to disappear. Check current stock and the gift return window before buying. If none fits, one well-chosen product is a perfectly good alternative.
