I’m Done Chasing Wellness Perfection—Here’s My New Rulebook

There was a time when my idea of “wellness” looked like a perfectly curated morning routine:
Green juice, meditation, a workout, journaling, and a skincare lineup that could rival a spa.

And if I missed a step? I felt behind. Or worse—like I was failing.

But lately, I’ve realized: chasing the perfect routine can be the very thing that makes you feel unwell.

So I stopped.
And I made myself a new rulebook.

Rule #1: Consistency > Intensity

I used to go all in for two weeks… and then crash.
Now, I’d rather do 10 minutes of yoga 4 days a week than force myself through an hour of cardio I dread.

Wellness that’s sustainable is wellness that sticks.

Rule #2: Food Is Nourishment, Not Punishment

I no longer eat salads I hate just because they’re “clean.”
I eat in a way that makes me feel supported—energized, steady, not starved.

Yes, I eat greens. I also eat pasta. And that balance feels better than any cleanse I’ve ever tried.

Rule #3: Rest Counts as Productive

If your body needs rest, resting is the productive thing.

Wellness isn’t just about what you do—it’s about what you allow.

Rule #4: Skincare Is Care, Not Correction

I love a good serum. But I’ve stopped expecting my face to look like a filter.

Now, my skincare routine is a moment of quiet, not a war against texture or pigmentation. I still aim for glow. I just don’t punish myself on the way there.

Rule #5: Trends Are Optional

I don’t need to buy the newest supplement, tool, or ingredient just because it’s going viral.
Trends are fun. But they’re not required.

You know what’s in? Listening to your body.

Wellness isn’t a checklist. It’s not aesthetics. It’s not productivity disguised as self-care.

It’s how you live. How you feel. How you come home to yourself when things get loud.

So if you’ve been chasing perfection and ending up tired, maybe it’s time to make your own rules, too.
Mine aren’t flawless—but they feel like me.
